Founded in 2017, Lynsey Ekema has 15 years of experience in horse care. The farm is based in one of the quietest areas of South Carolina and is ideal for any horse to retire or rehabilitate. A peaceful farm for horses offering personalized full care for your horse.

Du Lope Acres is 20 acres of lush grass in the historic area of Edgefield on the border of Aiken, South Carolina. We are committed to providing a safe, peaceful farm environment for your horse to spend their days. We limit the amount of horses taken in so we can always provide top quality and personal care.

The name Du Lop comes from an amalgamation of the two names of our first two horses, who have found their way back to be retired at the farm: Dutch and Loper.

Originally from New Jersey, Lynsey Ekema is a Certified Medical Illustrator and Graphic Designer by trade (Savannah College of Art and Design Class of 2009, Medical College of Georgia Class of 2012). She has been working in the equine industry and caring for horses for 15+ years. Lynsey brings years of quality experience in care for upper-level horses through some of the finest equestrian professionals: from a premier boarding facility in South Jersey, a hired groom for Olympic rider Nina Ligon (under the tutledge of Kim Severson), and a continued member of three-star eventer Jodi Hemry Eventing's team. Lynsey offers one of a kind, wholesome care, that you rarely find in pasture board. Lynsey dedicates her time to provide the best care for your equine partner.
